TheJamaican Chamber of Commerce in the Dominican Republic (JAMCHAMDR)is a Non-Governmental Organization incorporated under the laws of the Dominican Republic that was born as a result of the increase in the presence of major investments between the Dominican Republic and Jamaica, thanks to a dynamic business participation that has developed between both nations.

The Dominican Republic and Jamaica are nations that can complement each other perfectly in a wide variety of economic sectors. In this sense, theJAMCHAMDRIt is constituted within the framework of a fertile ground of business fabric with the objective of promoting and facilitating commercial, economic, tourist, social, political and cultural relations between both countries to nurture and encourage their growth in order to positively impact the strengthening of the Caribbean economy.

What are we looking for with the JAMCHAMDR?

Enable and implement bilateral trade relations between the Dominican Republic and Jamaica, identifying economic sectors and new business opportunities.
Facilitate and execute foreign direct investment for the Dominican Republic and Jamaica.
To become a source of consultation and search for information to do business in both countries.
Being a cultural promoter between the Dominican Republic and Jamaica, identifying the activities of Jamaican companies present in the Dominican Republic and vice versa.
Relationship and interpellation between the members of the Chamber.
Analyze international trade agreements to which the Dominican Republic and Jamaica are signatories; and adopt an active role in the definition, adoption and maintenance of an adequate foreign trade policy that favors both countries, establishing relations and cooperation agreements with the organizations that promote it.
Assist the members of the Chamber in the matters they request, related to their commercial activities.
Promote and organize business meetings between members of the Chamber and related institutions.
Acquire or compare property, furniture and real estate, as well as receive legacies or donations from people, institutions, agencies and organizations, both national and international, to fulfill the mission of the Chamber, as well as the development and execution of its objectives.
Any other activity that results in the benefit of the Chamber and its members, and the development of trade and investment between the Dominican Republic and Jamaica.
